We liked the idea of providing gifts that make both the giver and receiver feel good about the act.
Maple Ridge, British Columbia (PRWEB) December 3, 2008
The holidays can be a stressful time for gift givers everywhere. The American Psychological Association even released a guide in 2006 on how to cope with holiday stress. With that thought in mind, Raymond Miller set out on making gift giving easier for his fellow Canadians.
In November 2008, Miller re-launched http://www.TheGreatGiftBasketStore.com, a website that specializes in high quality gift baskets at low prices.
"My wife and I zeroed in on gift baskets," explained Miller. "We liked the idea of providing gifts that make both the giver and receiver feel good about the act."
TheGreatGiftBasketStore.com has quite the selection, catering to chocolate lovers, children, new parents, women, men and just about every other person under the sun.
"We wanted to offer different types of gift baskets to show that the concept of the basket has changed in the last 20 years," said Miller. "Our gift baskets have that twist of modernity but they still retain the thoughts and emotions behind them."
With all his knowledge about gift baskets, Miller has started an informational blog (http://www.GiftBasketsForAllHolidays.com), which runs the gamut in topics from what to expect in gift baskets to deciding on when an appropriate time to give one can be.
At the moment, Miller is offering free shipping for all gift baskets that are delivered to Canadian provinces, which is something that gift sites rarely do.
"We want to make things easier for our customers," said Miller. "Trying to pick a shipping method can be a bit of a pain. Plus, our underlying goal is just to provide a service that will be beneficial for all people, whether it's their birthday or celebrating the birth of a new baby."
