Adair Homes, one of the Pacific Northwest's largest residential homebuilders, has launched a new program aimed at giving back to the communities it serves. The new program creates a giving fund to facilitate small investments in local non-profits while also sponsoring employee volunteerism on company time.

to strengthen the economic and social fabric of American society by helping families attain home ownership by constructing permanent homes of custom quality at unprecedented value.

A company with a 40 year history in the Pacific Northwest, Adair Homes has the following mission statement: "to strengthen the economic and social fabric of American society by helping families attain home ownership by constructing permanent homes of custom quality at unprecedented value." In the business of helping people become homeowners, Adair employees frequently get to see the lives of their customers changed for the better.

The company recently made a decision to see even more lives changed for the better by becoming more involved in the communities that make up its service area. Adair will accomplish this through the new Adair Cares Program, which creates a "giving fund" for each of its seven branch offices as well as encouraging - and paying - each Adair employee to serve with local non-profit organizations for two workdays each year.

"Adair exists to make a difference in the lives of people. We are driven by that mission first and foremost. We realize that we are here for a bigger purpose than just earning a profit - we have the opportunity to serve our communities by giving back," says Byron Van Kley, Adair's President.

Adair's branch offices are located in Olympia and Woodland, WA; Aurora, Creswell, Medford and Bend, OR; and Caldwell, ID. Each office, as well as the corporate support office in Vancouver, WA will be empowered to make small gifts to local non-profits. While initial funds will be limited, the company plans to grow the program each year in order to make additional grants a reality.

The financial aspect may prove to be secondary to that of encouraging and sponsoring each Adair employee to get involved serving community non-profit organizations. The goal is for Adair to become a charitable force in the community - making a difference not just through their business model but also through their philanthropy.

Qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in an Adair Homes service area may contact the local Adair branch office for additional information and program guidelines.
