It started with 20 files on stock in late 2004 out of Delaware and has grown to one of the largest shopping malls for downloads worldwide. In early December 2008 the German/American company released some powerful functionality on the platform. Every merchant has now the choice to work with the built-in affiliate functionality or integrate with industry leading platforms such as Clickbank, PayDotCom or other affiliate management networks.
Professional photographers, publishing companies and internet marketeers use the platform to sell software, eBooks or photos directly from their own sites on their own accounts.
Customers either pay with Paypal, Google Checkout or credit card and receive their downloads within seconds after payment. White label solutions are also offered on request.
Tradebit, Inc. was started in 2004 by the German e-commerce and search engine specialist Ralf Schwoebel on a single server system in Delaware and runs today on a massive Linux server cluster, developed by respected members of the Open Source community.
The site reaches over 150,000 unique visitors daily itself and distributes over 2 Mio. downloads to partner websites and into social networks every day. Merchants do not pay any monthly fees but a sales commission to Tradebit which starts at 7.5% for the distribution services of sold files.
