Brenda Blisk Named One of 2008 "Women Who Mean Business" by Washington Business Journal

Certified Financial Planner® Brenda Blisk of McLean, Virginia, has added another award to her record of accomplishments. On November 20, 2008, The Washington Business Journal recognized Blisk as one of 25 "Women Who Mean Business" in the Washington metropolitan area. Blisk has been recognized for the past two years as one of Barron's Top 100 Women Financial Advisors in the U.S.

leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, business savvy and just plain hard work.

Brenda Blisk, CFP® and CEO of the Blisk Financial Group at Spire Wealth Management in McLean, Virginia, has been named one of the 2008 "Women Who Mean Business" by the Washington Business Journal. She was one of 25 women who were recognized at an Awards Banquet November 20 at the Ritz Carlton, Washington, D.C.

Washington Business Journal Publisher Alex Orfinger describes these awards as representing "leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, business savvy and just plain hard work."

Earlier this year, Blisk was named one of Barron's Top 100 Women Financial Advisors and one of the Top 50 Wealth Advisors in Virginia. She received both designations for the second consecutive year. Both lists are compiled by R. J. Shook and based on criteria such as a minimum of seven years of financial services experience and other weighted requirements, including wealth management focus and customer satisfaction.

In June 2007, Blisk received a Bravo Women Business Achievement Award sponsored by Washington Smart CEO magazine and TiE-DC, an organization dedicated to supporting the community of entrepreneurs in the Mid-Atlantic region. Blisk was one of 25 women honored.
Criteria for the Bravo Awards include overcoming business obstacles, financially outperforming competitors, displaying leadership and work ethic beyond the workplace and using a business base to benefit community fundraising.
