For more than 2 decades, Fantech has been working to ensure better indoor air quality in the buildings where we work and live. Now offers the full line of Heat Recovery Ventilators, Hepa Air filtration systems and Bath and Kitchen Exhaust fans to homeowners across North America.

Fantech HRV's work by transferring heat from stale exhaust, to incoming fresh air., the Vermont based internet seller of energy efficient, environmentally friendly heating and ventilation products, has partnered with Fantech of Sarasota, Florida, to offer their full line of Indoor Air Quality and Home Ventilation products.

Indoor air quality problems have soared since the late 1970’s when construction technology succeeded in developing energy efficient "tight" houses. Pollutants inside houses, which once escaped through cracks around windows and doors, are now trapped inside creating an indoor environment that is often 2 to 5 times more polluted than outside. Pet dander, mold spores, dust mites, allergens, tobacco smoke and other pollutants add up to poor indoor air quality.

Fantech's line of Indoor Air Quality Products can solve these problems through better ventilation. Heat Recovery (HRV) and Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV) work by bring fresh outside air into the house while expelling stale polluted air.

In the heating season the HRV’s core transfers heat from the outgoing, stale household air to preheat the incoming, fresh air. Cross-current sections, ensure the two air streams are always kept separate preventing the incoming fresh air from being contaminated by the outgoing stale air. During the air-conditioning season, the HRV reverses this process, removing some of the heat from the incoming air and transferring it to the outgoing air. So in the winter, homeowners get fresh airflow without wasting any heat and in the summer they get the same thing without wasting any costs associated with cooling.

Besides the Heat Recovery and Energy Recovery ventilators, Houseneeds also offers Fantech’s whole House Hepa Filtration Systems, which will clean the air in an average size house once each hour and is rated to be 99.97 effective.

Houseneeds also carries Fantech’s bath and kitchen exhaust fans and all the controls and accessories needed for Homeowners to design their own bath or kitchen exhaust systems, as well as pre-made kits for more standard installations. Ultra-quiet and energy efficient, Fantech Premium Bath Fans protect homes from the damaging effects of mold and mildew.
