In a day when battery operated children's vehicles and video games are the activities that pass for fun during recreational time, kids are losing ample amounts of physical activity and relying on technology to do the work for them. Entrepreneurs Eileen Steilman and Bree Garrett saw this problem, which inspired their website is an online store that features several pedal vehicles such as cars, trucks, tractors, planes, go-carts, and trains, as well as standard childhood staples such as wagons, scooters and tricycles and bicycles. The difference between the items on Steilman and Garrett's site is that all of their vehicles are outfitted to replicate the classic Americana styles of the 1930s-1960s.

"The pedal toys are top quality and the retro designs are very authentic," said Steilman. "Power Wheels don't allow kids to get exercise, but these pedal toys do and the kids get excited about them."

In addition to the pedal cars on the site, there are also accessories such as classic gas pumps and costumes to help further the imagination.

Along with these additional products, Beep Beep Zoom has its own brand new blog in "We have some broad topics such as the history of the pedal car and how it will help the healthy and active child," said Garrett.

"This is something that the baby boomers will appreciate," added Steilman. "Plus, the pedal cars are built to last and can be passed down from generation to generation."

As the site continues to grow and expand, Steilman and Garrett have an equal amount of focus on customer service - an aspect that often gets lost in the world of big box retailers, but is refined in independent businesses.

"Customer service is our top priority. We will research and work with our manufacturer if our customers have specific questions and concerns," said Garrett.

Thanks to, there will be several kids who can go out and pedal their way to a vast imagination, while others are bored and waiting for their games to load.
