The MSPAlliance (MSPA), the International Association of Managed Service Providers (http://www.mspalliance.com), today announced the launch of its Legal Services Hotline for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The MSPA Legal Services Hotline was created to help MSPs deal with a variety of legal issues currently facing IT services providers and their customers.
With more than 7,000 members worldwide, and as the world's largest professional association and accrediting body for the Managed Services Industry, the MSPA has deemed it necessary to provide this service in order to better serve and protect the managed services profession.
"The MSPAlliance established the hotline in response to the increasing predatory behavior contaminating the IT channel," said Charles Weaver, MSPAlliance president. "This service will be a resource for MSPs that often feel helpless against aggressive and unfair channel practices."
The MSPA Legal Services hotline will be staffed by attorneys with Scott & Scott, LLP, (http://www.scottandscottllp.com) a Dallas based law firm that specializes in representing managed service providers. Initial calls to the hotline will be complimentary to MSPA members and accredited vendors, and will be treated confidentially.
