Former Chairman of Clear Channel Entertainment Television Joins PrepChamps Board of Directors

A pivotal figure in the development of sports media in America brings decades of expertise to high school sports' online recruiting community

Raleigh/Durham, NC (PRWEB) December 10, 2008 -- PrepChamps, a fast growing online social recruiting community for high school sports, announced today Mike Trager, a well-known figure in the sports media industry, joined the company's Board of Directors.

While at Clear Channel Entertainment Television, Trager supervised television programming for the entire division. He was also responsible for CCE entertainment programming arm, Tollin/Robbins Productions, producers of the HBO hit series "Arli$$"; and feature films such as "Varsity Blues", "Coach Carter", and "Hardball". Prior to this position, Trager served as the President of the Television & Entertainment arm of the SFX Sports Group before its acquisition by CCE and co-founded the Marquee Group prior to its acquisition by SFX.

Trager started his career with NBC in New York and Los Angeles where he held various sales management positions and was voted the top sales executive in the broadcast advertising business. He continued his career in management at NBC as Vice President, NBC Sports, where he was responsible for all program acquisitions including the Moscow Olympics, National Football League, Major League Baseball and the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
