Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® has a memorable agenda of panels, speakers and entertainers planned for the 40th anniversary of Country Radio Seminar, to be held March 4-6, 2009, in Nashville, Tenn.
Superstar Tim McGraw will host and headline this year's Music City Jam™ concert on opening night, while rising stars Lady Antebellum, Kellie Pickler, James Otto, Chuck Wicks and the Zac Brown Band will close out CRS-40 at the New Faces of Country Music Show® on Friday, March 6. Additional artists will perform during the three-day seminar and at the CRS After Hours events.
Marketing expert and renowned author Seth Godin will deliver the keynote address at CRS-40's opening ceremonies. Godin has written a dozen bestsellers, including "All Marketers are Liars," "Meatball Sundae," "Purple Cow," and his most recent release, "Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us."
This year's educational panels are highlighted by numerous unique topics that incorporate the 40th anniversary theme, including 40 Great Programming Ideas in 40 Minutes, 40 Ingredients for a More Balanced Life, 40 Ideas Even a PD Would Love, 40 Promotional Ideas to Rev Up Your Revenue and 40 New Media Ideas. Additional items include the return of the Tech Track and Small Market panels, as well as sessions on consumer habits, promotional and research ideas, voicetracking and tools to increase sales.
CRS-40 will also reveal results from The Largest Study Ever of Country's P1 Listeners. This will be the fourth time that CRS has reported extensive findings on listenership trends in the country radio format. The 2007 study surveyed more than 20,000 listeners.
Other returning events at CRS-40 include the label-sponsored lunches, Artist Radio Taping Sessions (sponsored by SESAC) and the songwriter showcases WCRS Live! (co-sponsored by BMI and Country Aircheck) and KCRS Live! (sponsored by ASCAP).
CRS-40 will be held March 4-6, 2009 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
