Our expansion here reflects our continued growth globally, as well as our confidence in the quality of the labor market in Charlotte
New York and Charlotte, N.C. (PRWEB) December 15, 2008
iQor, a global provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) services, has expanded its Charlotte Center of Excellence, iQor's local call center. The increase in capacity will give iQor the ability to increase its labor force in Charlotte to more than 1,000 agents.
"Our expansion here reflects our continued growth globally, as well as our confidence in the quality of the labor market in Charlotte," said Vikas Kapoor, president and CEO, iQor. "Unlike some companies in the BPO industry, we have had a strategy of growing in every major market across the world. We have been particularly bullish about BPO in the United States, and our expansion in Charlotte is a testament that our clients share our views."
The Charlotte Center will operate on iQor's NexGen network--the first and largest all-digital Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) network in the BPO industry. This network connects all of iQor's Centers of Excellence globally and gives the company's clients the flexibility to dynamically move calls among all of iQor's locations worldwide with a flip of the switch. Charlotte is one of 21 iQor locations--from Phoenix to Toronto to Delhi to Manila--that will be connected in this way. The investment in Charlotte comes on the heels of similar U.S. expansions in Charleston, Buffalo, and Columbus.
With iQor's 22,500 square-foot expansion, it will now occupy 77,500 total square feet in its Charlotte facility, located at 2801 W. Tyvola Rd. Charlotte, NC 28217.
