We are really excited to have this chance to get away and spend some time together--maybe even rent beach cruiser bicycles and ride around the boardwalk--and meet Ryan and Trista. They seem like very sweet, down-to-earth people from what we've seen on TV.

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts today announced Joanna Simpson of Salem, Ore. is the winner of the Hyatt Travel Quiz sweepstakes. Simpson and her husband, Warren, will take a Hyatt Retreats getaway to Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, located along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway in Calif., with reality television stars Trista and Ryan Sutter, the couple made famous by ABC's "The Bachelorette."

Between work and homeschooling four daughters, the Simpsons have limited alone time -- let alone opportunities for romantic getaways --and their family vacations typically revolve around their children. After hearing about the Hyatt Travel Quiz on television, Simpson was curious to learn her travel personality type and uncover whether the quiz deemed her and her husband of 17 years travel compatible. The quiz identified Simpson as a Romantic Traveler, which made her an ideal travel mate for Ryan and Trista Sutter and qualified her for a chance to win the Hyatt Retreats getaway with a travel companion.

"We haven't taken a trip alone, just the two of us, since our first daughter was born 15 years ago," Simpson said. "We are really excited to have this chance to get away and spend some time together--maybe even rent beach cruiser bicycles and ride around the boardwalk--and meet Ryan and Trista. They seem like very sweet, down-to-earth people from what we've seen on TV."

The Hyatt Travel Quiz, a first-of-its-kind travel personality assessment to help individuals identify their travel temperaments and test their compatibility, asked 12 questions adapted from an established personality test, and categorized participants into four travel types: Romantic, Balanced, Energetic and Driven. The results provided tips on how to relate to different travel personalities, along with suggested Hyatt Retreats packages and destinations based on the personalized travel profile. Trista and Ryan Sutter were identified as Romantic Travelers, and quiz participants whose responses also categorized them as such were entered to win a three-day, two-night trip to Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, courtesy of Hyatt and American Express.

Hyatt created the quiz in conjunction with its global, limited-time offer in which travelers receive a $50 USD credit toward dining, golf, spa activities and more when booking a two-night Hyatt Retreats weekend package using their American Express® Card, and completing the trip before Dec. 28, 2008.

"We are very happy with the number of people who took the quiz, and are excited to award Joanna and Warren with a well-deserved, romantic getaway," said Nick White, director of partner marketing, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. "We know there are plenty of fun things to do at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa--from surfing, beach cruiser rentals and beach bonfires to countless spa activities--so we hope they'll have a great time."

Hyatt Retreats packages are available at all Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency hotels and resorts worldwide and may be reserved by calling 1-800-233-1234 or visiting hyattretreats.com. Complete terms and conditions of the offer are available at hyattretreats.com.
