Lonestar Soccer, the premier club in Central Texas, forms partnership with CATZ Sports Performance to provide sports performance training, rehabilitation and recovery services to club players. CATZ will provide training and rehabilitation to Lonestar players in the US Soccer Federation Development Academy, as well as all other players in the Club.

Lonestar Soccer Club & CATZ Sports Performance Centers have teamed up to benefit the soccer playing membership of Lonestar Soccer Club and indeed the recreational soccer community that feed into the Lonestar Soccer Club through their affiliate recreational programs, CC United, Town & Country Soccer, and Westlake Youth Soccer.

Lonestar Soccer Club has recently been selected into the prestigious United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Development Academy; this is the USSF's only National League and identifies the key player pool for the U'17 & U'19 US Men's National Teams. Boys Director of Coaching, Sean Bubb, looks to utilize CATZ for player development in all age groups. He states. "We feel that CATZ is going to be a very integral part of the development of our players from the Little Lonestars (as young as U5) up to our top elite players in the United States Soccer Academy. The relationship we have with CATZ is only going to benefit all of our athletes."

CATZ Performance Training Program is renowned with elite athletes. Over the last six months, fifteen CATZ-trained athletes earned Gold Medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the CATZ-trained Columbus Crew won the MLS Cup and Supporter's Shield in the recently-concluded soccer season. CATZ has been selected by Lonestar Soccer Club due to their renowned soccer performance training, injury prevention and recovery physical therapy expertise. CATZ is able to provide support in these three key areas, something no one else in Austin could offer under one roof. CATZ's highly qualified and experienced staff also provide valuable knowledge and support to the Lonestar Soccer Club management and training staff, something that is reciprocated both ways.

CATZ Performance Director Bill Meyer has been working closely with Bruce Talbot, Head coach of the Lonestar Soccer Club USSF DA teams and states, "I'm very excited about working with and helping these talented young athletes reach the next level of soccer. Along with their skills on the field, they will need to be challenged with strength training, speed development, and core stabilization exercises to balance out their abilities to become the best they possibly can; and CATZ is definitely the place to go to achieve those goals."

Lonestar Soccer Club Business Manager, Rob Ferguson, states "We are delighted to have agreed on a formal partnership with CATZ. In recent years we have worked with them intermittently and I think all parties agreed it was time to take the next step and set a platform for the relationship to grow over the coming years. Our soccer players will benefit tremendously from the specialized performance training provided by CATZ, and their scientific approach to performance training and recovery adds another dimension to the Lonestar Soccer Club. We have already seen the benefits. Our 91B Red & 93B Red DA teams have had their USSF SPARQ testing done at CATZ and have followed this up with weekly training sessions at the CATZ facility on Hwy 183 to help prepare them for their inaugural season in the National League."

Girls Director of Coaching, David Smith, adds, "CATZ has been working with a number of girls teams over recent years, none more successfully than with the 93G Red, who this last summer capped a fine year with a State Championship, Regional Championship & National Final Appearance."

Lonestar Soccer Club players can also receive free injury evaluations at CATZ Physical Therapy. CATZ Director of Physical Therapy, Christie Powell encourages players to call her, after hours if necessary, to get advice on immediate care of injuries and then schedules visits at the earliest opportunity to asses the injuries. Ongoing support of optimal recovery, through the network of CATZ Physical Therapists, Performance Trainers, and Lonestar Soccer Club Coaches is the final piece of the puzzle as players work towards recovering 100% and returning to competitive soccer.
