Grand National Winning Jockey Takes Poker Prize

Recently retired jockey Mick Fitzgerald may have found a new career in poker this week after his big win at the Everest Poker-sponsored East Garston Championships.

Montreal, Quebec (PRWEB) December 12, 2008 -- The Everest Poker-sponsored East Garston Championships held last Sunday (7th December) was hosted in the heart of horse racing country in the UK.

The tournament was won by Cheltenham Gold Cup, Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup & Grand National winning jockey Mick Fitzgerald. The tournament also saw trainers Andy Balding and Paul Cole dip their toe into the world of live poker but it was Fitzgerald who took the £2,000 prize.

Recently retired Mick may now have carved out a new career for himself in poker.
