New websites pop up hourly, but most are merely funny pictures or rude anecdotes. is a site that offers helpful medical resources for people who seek routes outside of traditional medicine. The site and its companion blog have both debuted recently.

Over the last decade, more people have been seeking natural methods of healing, as opposed to relying on traditional methods and medication. One such person is Nancy Marcaccini, who found herself spending up to $2000 for prescription medicine. Utilizing natural remedies, Marcaccini and her husband, Wolf Weber, launched

"I think the personal aspect of someone who is living through the hardships of health and offering up what has worked is refreshing," explained Maraccini. "How many doctors are there who prescribe things that they themselves have not taken?"

The site went live in the fall of 2008 and has since built up a reputation for being one of the most well thought out and accurate websites for information regarding natural healing methods. Every week, Marcaccini and Weber add new resources and continue to build their site, trying to find remedies for diseases, and this is truly just the beginning for them.

"We're continually adding content to the website," said Marcaccini. "We're also adding to the blog; we're just getting started, really."

The blog in question is, and contains further in depth information and serves as a companion to the website. "We talk about ways for healing, living and ways to help your mind and manage pain," said Marcaccini. "We'll also be discussing meditation and tips on improving your diet."

While the website is still relatively new, Marcaccini and Weber have built themselves an incredibly important resource that is not only informative and well researched, but it can also help others who suffer from diseases that may be worsened by medication and traditional methods. More than anything, however, Marcaccini is insistent that the site's personal viewpoint and empathetic aesthetic is what sets it apart from other sites.

"The personal touch is what matters," she said. "We also have Wolf's perspective on the matter and how his life has been changed and how's he's dealing with it. I think people tend to forget the caregiver and on our site, we want to include everyone."
