Candace King, one of Southern California's most prominent interior designers, begins a new chapter in her 25 years as a La Jolla business owner to focus on her firm Candace King Design and her King and Company line of custom lighting.

Candace opened King and Company, a unique selection of special antiques and collectibles, on Girard Avenue in 1997. A favorite of locals and designers alike, King and Company helped launch the renowned design district of upper Girard, was chosen as Favorite Antique Store in the La Jolla Light, and has been voted Best Antiques in San Diego.

This fall, Candace closed her shop doors after 12 years to focus on her full-service design business and her signature line of custom lighting. Her work has been featured in publications including Traditional Home, Better Homes and Gardens, San Diego Home and Garden, Décor and Style and in homes from Coronado to Manhattan, and Candace continues to expand her signature brand with new creative ventures.

Despite recent announcements that King and Company had closed and was merging with C'est la Vie, neither Candace King nor King and Company is affiliated with this establishment. King and Company has always been solely owned and operated by Candace King.
