Anita Worth, Founder of mag-tagz designs, L.L.C., joins the ranks of working mom entrepreneurs with the opening of her business, mag-tagz™, a fun interchangeable jewelry line for kids based in Austin, Texas. Her business model is a little different than most new businesses because she has her children, an eight-year-old son and a ten-year-old daughter, and even the neighbors' kids, involved in the design process. Ashley Worth, Anita's fourth-grade daughter, said, "My friends and I vote on the best designs and colors." Lauren Brunn, a fourth-grade neighbor, and Kendra Pennington, a sixth-grade neighbor also chimed in, "We tell her what we like and then she draws it." Anita Worth, founder of mag-tagz™ laughs, "Yes, they keep me busy on Photoshop!"
mag-tagz™, patent pending, is an interchangeable jewelry line that works with a magnet so girls can change out their designs quickly and easily. "mag-tagz™ is more than a children's jewelry line," Anita adds. "It's also a fun, interactive way for girls to form and solidify friendships through trading and collecting 'tagz,' the interchangeable pieces." There is even an interactive game tied to the website "Tag, you're it!" and a design contest to design your own tag.
