Click Consult, a leading UK search marketing agency, today revealed the findings of their combined Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) study. The study found that conversion rates for clients who combined PPC and SEO were 51.5% higher than clients who just undertake PPC.
A random sample of 44 clients was used in the study to ensure coverage of different industries and different conversion types, such as e-commerce transactions and completed enquiry forms. For this sample of 24 'PPC only' clients and 20 'PPC and SEO' clients, conversion rates over a 3 month period (01/09/08 to 30/11/08) were analysed and compared.
