Pedasí, Panama (PRWEB) December 16, 2008 -- New model homes for the oceanfront vacation community of Andromeda Pedasí will be available this week, as the final preparations for construction are under way.

Final plans for the five models available to buyers of the project's first phase by acclaimed architectural firm Mallol y Mallol will be ready for presentation the second week of December, say representatives of Dekel Panama S.A., the development group behind Andromeda Pedasí.

Mallol y Mallol designs feature spacious, light-filled villas, with free-flowing movement and ease of function. All homes will be equipped with the latest in modern and environmentally friendly amenities. Buyers can also choose to build their own custom-designed homes within recommended style guidelines.

The project's first phase consists of 40 home lots overlooking the beaches of La Garita and Toro, minutes from the picturesque town of Pedasí in the Los Santos province of Panama. Preferential prices are now being offered on all Phase One home lots, with discounts of 20 per cent on list prices.

Home lots range from 800 to 1500 square meters, fronting the two pristine, sandy beaches. All include superb, panoramic views of Panama's Pacific ocean, only steps away. Just 20 minutes offshore lies the idyllic island reserve of Isla Iguana, with beaches of the purest white sands, and an extensive coral reef ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Andromeda Pedasí is the town's first planned residential community. Daniel Rudas, of Dekel Panama S.A., says the site was chosen for the wealth of activities available in the region, as well as its natural beauty and tranquility.

"Pedasi is far from everything, and really authentic. You can fish, surf, bike, motorcyle, all in a very special place," says Mr Rudas. "In this rural region, there are few luxuries, but inside the project there will be all the amenities and luxuries you need.

"We believe people like to get away from the noise and bustle, but have access to the comforts of home."

Andromeda Pedasí will offer residents extensive recreational facilities, including a beach club, community swimming pool, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, and a children's playground. Green areas centered on the project's two natural creeks will contain parks and walking trails, and a business center will also be built on-site.

About Pedasí:
The town of Pedasí is immediately welcoming to visitors, with its colorful homes neatly-tended gardens, and friendly, relaxed way of life. Traditionally a fishing town, with cattle ranches in the surrounding land, Pedasí is now attracting an increasing number of tourists keen to sample this unique region in Panama.

While Panama is generally hot and humid, with abundant rainfall, the Azuero Peninsula, which juts south from the mainland on Panama's central Pacific coast, is made up primarily of dry, tropical forest. This gives the peninsula an appealingly dry, sunny climate for most of the year, with strong breezes and a plethora of sandy beaches.

There are no end of recreational activities in the region as well. Playa Venao, a 20-minute drive west of Pedasí, has a world-class surfing break and has hosted several international events. Visitors can explore Panama's incredibly diverse wildlife at Isla Iguana, the primary nesting site for the magnificent frigate birds, or watch hundreds of turtles lumber up on the shores of the nearby Isla Cañas to lay their eggs in the sand.

Sport-fishing is also a major draw for the area, which is known as the 'Tuna Coast', thanks to the deep currents close to shore that bring in massive schools of yellow-fin tuna, and many other popular species such as marlin, sailfish, dorado and snapper.

The region is also famous for its unique culture, with year-round festivities, including the famous Las Tablas carnivals which take place in February, which features parades, floats, fireworks, dancing, music, and traditional costumes. Every town has its own special tradition of celebration, rich in cultural heritage.

Dekel Panama S.A. is one of Central America's up and coming development groups, offering fresh vision and energy to the region's hottest real estate investment and vacation properties.

With experience in the Middle East, the U.K., and Costa Rica, the group brings international experience in real estate development, business and finance to Panama's burgeoning property development market.

Exceptional quality is the cornerstone of Dekel's development philosophy. Using the latest technologies, finest materials and environmentally conscious designs, Dekel strives to create properties of the highest quality.

Combined with a keen flair for the newest property markets, and strong business integrity, Dekel Panama offers ground-level entry to Panama's most exclusive vacation-home communities, ensuring client and shareholder satisfaction alike.
