The United States Patent and Trademark Office Approves Issuance of Patent for RoadLoK Motorcycle Locking System
Middletown, NY (PRWEB) December 17, 2008 -- RoadLoK Security (d/b/a of New Hampton Technologies, LLC) announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has approved the issuance of a patent for the company's RoadLoK® branded motorcycle locking system, filed on February 9, 2006; U.S. patent number 7,467,530 will publish December 23, 2008.

The unique powersport locking system, commercially known and available as "RoadLoK", utilizes a specially-engineered, removable hardened stainless steel locking pin to positively immobilize the protected vehicle's wheel. The system is reliant on a lock housing--or lock body--which is unique to the protected vehicle's make, model, and year. The lock body permanently mounts to the vehicle, while the locking pin is removable, thus making this new locking system both failsafe and fool-proof.
The RoadLoK motorcycle locking system features a locking pin removably-affixed within a permanently-mounted lock housing on the vehicle's frame. The operator is protected from vehicular damage and personal injury because all movement is eliminated when the locking system is engaged. Traditional locking methods (i.e. padlocks, "disc locks", and chains) allow the protected vehicle--for example: a motorcycle--to roll up to six feet before stopping the wheel. The Company engineered the new motorcycle locking system to prevent this movement, thus preventing unintentional damage and personal injury.
