Mary Barrow and Maryellen Maguire-Eisen to Receive an American Academy of Dermatology Gold Triangle Award for books "Pretty Prom" and "Lake Vacation."
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) December 16, 2008 -- This winter, the American Academy of Dermatology has awarded the prestigious Gold Triangle Award to Mary Mills Barrow, co-founder of Coolibar, and Maryellen Maguire-Eisen, RN, MSN, executive director of the Children's Melanoma Prevention Foundation, for their "Pretty Prom: Your Skin is Pretty Too" and "Lake Vacation" books.
As part of the SunAWARE program, Coolibar's educational outreach program and guide to proper sun protection techniques, Barrow and Maguire-Eisen wrote the two books to empower teens and adolescents with reliable dermatological information about the dangers of overexposure to ultraviolet radiation and to offer positive, easy solutions.
