This contest will not only stimulate positive discussions about innovative solutions, but it will also be a fun exercise. It's a positive ray of light at a time when our industry could use it. I'm looking forward to seeing the thoughts and conversations from this effort.

DrivingSales (http://www.DrivingSales.com), the original best practice community for automotive industry professionals, today announced its next innovation idea sharing contest: "What would you do as the Car Czar?" The contest is open for industry professionals to submit ideas that would solve the difficulties the industry faces today. The event is specifically designed to create positive conversation around industry solutions from the viewpoint of those on the inside, a departure from the onslaught of negativity that currently pervades the news.
"Nobody possesses the combination of innovative spirit and insider industry knowledge like those professionals who live and breath the car business on a daily basis," commented Jared Hamilton, Founder of DrivingSales.com. "I want to show the world outside our industry just how creative and vibrant our industry can be. Times are tough right now but we can find solutions and move forward."
The contest allows all automotive industry professionals, regardless of their position or segment, to submit their thoughts on the future of the car business. The rules are simple: identify one of the big problems facing our industry and submit your thoughts about a recommended solution. Entries can be emailed to contactus at drivingsales dot com or published directly on the DrivingSales.com blog in each member's account. All entries will be published in the DrivingSales' blog to generate discussion and to spur more ideas and innovation. The contest will continue for 30 days, at which time a group of judges will determine the winner based on creativity, viability and the thoughtful discussion around the topic. The author of the winning submission will receive a $500 Visa gift card.
"The auto industry is filled with creative people who are up for any challenge. It's great to give them a voice and see what they come up with," stated Charlie Vogelheim, industry expert and one of the contest judges. "This contest will not only stimulate positive discussions about innovative solutions, but it will also be a fun exercise. It's a positive ray of light at a time when our industry could use it. I'm looking forward to seeing the thoughts and conversations from this effort."
In addition to Charlie Vogelheim, other judges include Andrew Price of RL Polk & Company and Allan Cooper of OneCommand, named one of the top 10 pioneers of the Internet.
