LPA Today Announced an Update to VisiRule Business Rules Tool

LPA today announced an update to VisiRule, its graphical charting tool which lets business professionals draw, test and generate business-rules applications either on the Desktop or the Internet.

VisiRule allows developers to design and deliver commercial rule-based systems, expert systems, and knowledge-based systems on Pcs and Internet. Business experts just draw the decision logic using a point-and-click paradigm and input the conditional logic to use at the relevant branching points.

This means that business experts no longer need to involve a sophisticated programmer to build decision support systems - they just need to understand their decision-making process.

VisiRule allows experts to rapidly produce accurate diagrams which they can then share and discuss with colleagues who are also involved with the business process at hand.

VisiRule delivers applications thru its generation of Flex code. Flex is LPA's business rules product which is based in, and has access to, Prolog. Prolog is a powerful, logic-based AI language which includes support for inferencing and deduction.

The new release of VisiRule 1.5 and associated LPA WinProlog v4.8 products include:

  • interactive editing of decision charts thru simple point and click drawing interface
  • export to Windows meta-file and XML options
  • integration support for .Net delivery
  • programmable XML input and output routines

VisiRule runs on all version of Windows and requires 128 Mb memory. Prices start from 2,000 USD.

Other products in LPA's range of AI tools include Chimera Agents, Data Mining and CBR toolkits.

The LPA web-site contains a suite of interactive VisiRule demos on:
