Asset Foreclosure Services, Inc. (http://www.assetforeclosure.com) educated various lenders, servicers, and sub-servicers on current market trends and provided guidance on recession proofing their businesses during the recent CMA event. This year's exhibit provided much needed market intelligence as AFS presented a wide range of default solutions and support services to meet the needs of lenders under pressure.

California has been one of the hardest hit states by the downturn in the Real Estate market. With over 25% of US foreclosures occurring in the state, mortgage bankers are actively seeking default and loss mitigation assistance to deal with the increase in filings.

"Providing knowledge on successful default strategies was the primary focus of this year's exhibit. When you are in a declining market, the risk factors become overwhelming, and finding new and innovative ways to address these hazards is the number one priority," noted Jerry Roumm, Senior Vice President of Asset Foreclosure Services, Inc.

AFS is able to process foreclosures from notification all the way through to asset disposition, allowing a lender to be more efficient and mitigate losses. The company offers foreclosure processing, reconveyance, post foreclosure services and loss mitigation efforts in nine states.

The California Mortgage Association (CMA) is the largest independent professional organization to provide education, legislative advocacy and networking opportunities to mortgage brokers and lenders engaged in making real estate loans. CMA represents community based loan broker-lenders in the California legislature and supports industry professionals across the state.
