We push the envelope on the definition of what value is when it comes to boat design
Kennesaw, GA (PRWEB) December 19, 2008
Yamaha Watercraft today announced that Trailer Boats®) magazine presented the all new 2009 Yamaha 232 Limited S with its highly coveted 2009 Excellence in Design Award. This accolade is granted to boats that the magazine's editors determine help innovate and invigorate the industry, as well as set trends that are reflected in future years.
"We push the envelope on the definition of what value is when it comes to boat design," said Scott Watkins, Yamaha's manager of product planning. "We are creating real, usable solutions to the way a boat is truly enjoyed by customers. This can be through function, performance, design or comfort. But in every area, we are looking for ways to add value and for the right places to focus Yamaha's R&D efforts for customers. This philosophy is reflected in the 232 Limited S with its smart, usable design, innovative features, and price tag that is thousands less than comparable boats."
"Trailer Boats® 2009 Excellence in Design award was based on this model's unique combination of looks, versatility and innovation," noted Editor Ron Eldridge. "The forward-sweeping wakeboard tower presents a sense of motion even at the dock, but what's cutting edge is that Yamaha designers have integrated stereo speakers and courtesy lighting seamlessly into the structure. This progressive design benefits boaters by providing extra sound and illumination from above. That's a really cool touch."
New for 2009, the 232 Limited S is Yamaha's premier 23-foot boat. This luxury bowrider expands on Yamaha's already stellar list of amenities, and utilizes Yamaha's renowned internal drive technology that provides remarkable acceleration, responsive handling, and shallow draft capabilities. The compact design of this power package allows for an entirely unique boat design that provides more usable space than comparable sterndrive boats - including an expansive stern swim platform with an aft-facing lounging area.
