I'm going to continue to add new products as they're introduced to me
Ventnor, NJ (PRWEB) December 19, 2008
A year ago, Linda Davies contemplated starting her own business. After months of research and development, Davies launched http://www.SmallShipModels.com in the summer of 2008.
"I wanted to carry boats because I'm a boating enthusiast," said Davies. "I've always enjoyed small boats and large cruises. I even live on the shore and I can see the boats everyday."
Using her knowledge of all things nautical, Davies has a myriad of model boats, yachts, ocean liners and tall ships. The models are made of genuine wood and would make great additions in any room and office. Small Ship Models also has a selection of unique maritime items like Nautical Globes.
"I remember seeing globes like that at a friend's house in high school," recalled Davies, "and to me, they really represent a part of nautical history and tradition. They make very wonderful accent pieces in any home. They're indeed a cornerstone in home décor."
Even with a well-rounded catalog, Davies plans on further expanding her catalog. "I'm going to continue to add new products as they're introduced to me," she said. "One of the products that I'll be carrying is a replica of the Titanic. It's a very detailed and extremely beautiful model."
In addition to accumulating new items, Small Ship Models has recently come out its own companion blog, http://www.SmallShipModelsBlog.com. "The blog will have reviews of our different ships and I'm also encouraging model and boat enthusiasts to write opinions in the comments. I'm really looking forward to reading peoples' opinions," said Davies.
While her catalog continues to grow, Linda Davies wants to share her love of boats with the world at large. The products that are on her website represent a rich tradition that not only capture the spirit of freedom and exploration, but also is a landmark of finely crafted examples of beauty.
