For bird enthusiasts of all types, SimplyForTheBirds.com has been a saving grace of sorts, offering not only well made bird feeders, bird houses and bird baths, but also hints for people to share. Now the website is celebrating its one year anniversary and has recently added a new blog.

I started off with an idea to have these really beautiful bird feeders and bird houses available for people, but the site has blossomed into something of a community for people who love nature and birds

When Pam Nelson went on a vacation to visit her family on the East Coast, little did she realize that a quaint trip would lead her in a direction to become an independent business owner. While back east, Nelson took to bird watching and upon her return to the Pacific Northwest, set up her site, http://www.SimplyForTheBirds.com.

By November 2007, Nelson's site was up and running and now, a year later, the site is celebrating its one year anniversary.

"It's exciting," explained Nelson, "and I think that over the last 12 months, I've been able to carry some of the most unique and functional bird feeders, bird houses and bird baths out on the market."

Indeed, Nelson has a wide selection of neat and prudent items on her site. In addition to the products, she also has a section on her site titled "Odds and Ends," which has videos to help beginning birdwatchers, as well as some other helpful hints. This page is expanding into Nelson's latest bird venture: her blog.

"I have a wealth of information for people on attracting techniques for all the different types of birds out there," said Nelson of http://www.SimplyForTheBirdsBlog.com. "I'll be focusing on the popular species such as bluebirds, cardinals and gold finches for the initial posts and I think it will grow naturally."

As Nelson's site continues to grow into a new year of existence, she is allowing birdwatchers - new and old - to be able to grow as natural enthusiasts in their own right.

"I started off with an idea to have these really beautiful bird feeders and bird houses available for people, but the site has blossomed into something of a community for people who love nature and birds," Nelson said. "I think that's what really makes this site unique in its own right. There's something for everyone."
