Marlo Furniture has a long-standing history of community involvement and charitable donations. "This collaboration offers yet another platform for giving back to the community that has sustained us for over 50 years" explained David Weinstein, the company's Chief Operating Officer. Reverend Dr. Kerry A. Hill, President of the Collective Banking Group agrees, "It is our mission to establish relationships with businesses in our community who share our vision of working together 'collectively' to economically empower our members. Marlo Furniture is a family-owned business that started in 1955 with a single store in downtown Washington, DC. Today, Marlo is the Washington area's largest furniture retailer with four showrooms located around the Beltway in Alexandria, Forestville, Laurel and Rockville. More than 1 million Washingtonians have bought their furniture at Marlo.

The Collective Banking Group is an association of over 150 churches whose mission is to establish covenant relationships with member churches and partnerships with organizations for economic empowerment by providing a wide range of financial and business services for their members.
