Chromalox team dresses, prepares 2,000 teddy bears for children with cancer

The sales team of Pittsburgh-based Chromalox, a leading manufacturer of electric heat and control products, is "bearing down" on cancer by donating 2,000 customized teddy bears to children struggling with cancer throughout the United States.

As part of a special service event at the firm's annual sales team meeting, more than 100 Chromalox staff members dressed and prepared age-and-gender-appropriate Build-A-Bear® teddy bears. Chromalox is working with hospitals around the country to ensure the bears will reach the children who need them most.

"Although every instance of cancer is unfortunate, there is none more difficult to witness than the impact it has on a child and family," Bill Kennedy, Vice President - Sales, of Chromalox said. "This is why the Chromalox sales team wishes to participate in an event that will bring joy and comfort to children with cancer."

Chromalox representative principals and district managers contacted children's hospitals in their state to offer the teddy bears as gifts to juvenile cancer patients. More than 36 recipient hospitals were identified across the country to receive the donated teddy bears. Chromalox supplied the bears on a first-come, first-served basis.
