QuickRewards.net Members Donate to Project Linus As They Shop

Popular online shopping rewards program QuickRewards.net announces that through December 24th, it will donate 25 cents to children's charity Project Linus for each order of $10 or more made by members through its shopping portal of hundreds of popular retailers.

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) December 21, 2008 -- QuickRewards.net, an online shopping rewards program, is hoping to make the holidays a little warmer for children in need.

Through December 24th, for every purchase of $10 or more made through the website's shopping portal, QuickRewards.net will donate twenty-five cents to the San Jose Chapter of Project Linus, a non-profit organization that provides hand-made blankets to children in need.

Established in 1995, Project Linus operates 384 chapters nationwide with the mission "to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer 'blanketeers.'"  Over two million blankets have been donated and distributed by Project Linus since the program began.

, an online rewards program established in 2002, provides members with the opportunity to receive cash back or gift cards for shopping online, completing surveys, printing grocery coupons, playing games, watching videos, and more. Unlike most other online rewards shopping sites, QuickRewards.net waives the pending period for purchase returns, allowing shoppers to make a purchase, request cash back (with no minimum balance required), and receive their cash in as little as 48 hours.

Dmitry Beker, president and founder of QuickRewards.net announced, "It is my honor to be able to help such a noble cause as Project Linus in this way. When economic times are difficult, people sometimes have to cut back on their support of their favorite charities. This promotion will allow our members to support a worthy cause while they shop online as they normally would."

QuickRewards.net members have also had an option to donate their cashback earnings directly to Project Linus since 2007.

Dolores Wright, Coordinator for , says, "QuickRewards.net has been a very wonderful program to help the San Jose, CA, Chapter of Project Linus. Their donations help us to purchase the fleece and yarn needed to make homemade blankets. In this time, when so many are out of work, we're receiving more requests for blankets. As Coordinator for our chapter, I see the need growing steadily."

Shoppers interested in participating in this program to assist Project Linus may do so by joining QuickRewards at http://www.QuickRewards.net. http://www.QuickRewards.net.
