Vacationing Bloggers Now Have Tools To Post While Away From The Computer

No longer do bloggers need to have long periods of inactivity on their blogs or worry about hiring someone to write for them when they take some time off for the holidays. Social network and blogging tools recently surfaced to make blogging remotely a reality! See three tools selected by blogging and social network expert Micheal Savoie can make vacationing bloggers look like they've been slaving away at a hot laptop during Christmas Vacation!

With the holidays fast approaching like a freight train with no brakes, Micheal Savoie is not worried about getting content on his 3 main blogs and 5 satellite blogs. He is taking some time off, but his blogs will continue to get his articles, even if he is miles away from his computer!

"There used to be a time when bloggers had to bring their laptops along wherever they went, even when on vacation with family. I remember having to get up early on Christmas Eve, drive to the nearest Starbucks and work on the post I was going to write, just so I could keep my readers coming back," Savoie said.

Now things have changed with the release of some very exciting tools that make bloggers and social marketers jump for joy when they think about how much fun they can have this Christmas without having to worry that their blogs are not getting any new content. Three tools have come to the rescue.

Ping.fm
With Ping.fm, writers can post to their blogs simultaneously from one interface. Not only that, but their posts can also be sent through over 30 social networks and blog platforms to make posts reach thousands more people than a single blog post could by itself. Savoie gets excited when he starts talking about ping.fm, because of the possibilities.

"You take a blog post, and pull out 140 character excerpts and ping them out to your followers to whet their appetites for the main blog post a couple days ahead of the release date of your post. Then, you take the link to your blog, and post it along with an excerpt after your article has been posted to keep people coming back!"

HelloTxt.com
Similar to Ping.fm, HelloTxt.com allows you to post to multiple social sites at once. In fact, 33 different social networks are supported by HelloTxt.com which makes it incredible for reaching a much larger audience! With the sheer volume of sites available to make connections on, it is a matter of time to get relationships built with the people on those networks.

PostLater.net
"When I first saw PostLater.net, I almost fell over! This was the tool that made the whole social networking thing finally click for me!" Savoie exclaimed when asked about how he found time to develop relationships with the people he followed on the social networks like Twitter and Facebook.

"PostLater.net allows a blogger like me to write 10 blog posts and submit them to the blogs I want them to go to, when I want them to go. " The premise of a site like PostLater.net is that an author can have the content sent to the blog through the ping.fm Application Programming Interface (API) to all of the networks supported by ping.fm! It works like an autoresponder, where a blog post can be stored and sent at the appointed time, or 140 character messages like those accepted by Twitter can be sent to update all of the sites that do updates. This way, following Savoie's plan, excerpts of the blog posts can be sent out with the link to the post at a specific time and day (or repeated daily, weekly or monthly) to get the word out about something.

Savoie has created some videos on his website to show business owners how to take advantage of the Social Net Effect this can have on advertising. He offers these videos absolutely free at http://socialneteffect.com/videos to anyone who wants to look at them. He shows some case studies for a website that is giving away New Release DVD's until January 9th! Business owners that want more intensive training can join Micheal Savoie at jvAlert Live in Orlando, Florida February 6 through 8, 2009 for a 3 hour workshop where he will walk everyone through the setup of ping.fm, hellotxt.com and PostLater.net so that when they leave they can have a working network of sites to promote their blogs.
