Videos for Intel and Hewlett-Packard win eight prestigious 2008 Awards.

News Facts:
Based in Emeryville, CA (just outside of San Francisco) creative boutique Seed Communications' video work has been honored by 8 international film and video awards. The projects were for Intel and HP. It's all part of Seed's pioneering new class of short-form web video: Proof-Pictures™.

The videos are brief and pithy, but with greater depth than a spot. Optimized for the web from conception. They are all factually based and inventively produced. Not just attractive to awards committees, one of the videos achieved an incredible 24% click-through rate in online testing.

"It's a style of video production that is very cost-effective because it can be used in a multitude of venues, like tradeshows, briefing centers and customer meetings" said Seed principal, Nancy Raff. "And, on the environmental side, many companies have extraordinary achievements that just aren't that well known, but should be-like HP and Intel."

Seed Communications' award-winning, environmental video work for Intel and Hewlett-Packard earlier this year was directed and shot Seed partner John Torcassi.

Video, produced by Seed Communications:
Seed's 2008 environmental video honors include awards from the International Academy of Visual Arts, the Houston International Film Festival, The Summit International Awards, and the Telly Awards.

Quotes:
"Web viewers don't want to be presented with just pretty pictures-they want to understand something about where the company is coming from. Sharing environmental values is part of that," said Nancy Raff, Seed's co-founder and CEO.

"Storytelling is the thing. When communicating corporate strategy in web video, you have to reach people's brains - and their emotions. And you have to know how to make films. Very short ones," said John Torcassi, Seed Communications partner.
