New Year's Eve is still five days away but the champagne will be flowing early for 100 lucky UltimateBet players this weekend. On Saturday, December 27, the leading online poker site will award at least 100 players with a spot in UltimateBet's Million-Dollar UBOC Championship set to get underway on January 18, 2009. The final championship event features $1 million in guaranteed prize money.

UBOC 2009, which kicks off on January 9, is UltimateBet's biggest online poker tournament series yet. Featuring 22 guaranteed events, two $1 million tournaments and over $3 million in guaranteed prize pool money, the 10-day series is destined to attract the best online poker players from across the globe.

Making up 10 of the 22 events is a parallel series being billed as Mini UBOC. With the exception of the two $1 million tournaments, each UBOC event will be mirrored by a separate Mini UBOC event where online poker players can buy in for approximately 10% of the corresponding UBOC event and compete for a lucrative prize pool.

UltimateBet's Online Championship series features a mix of popular online poker games including No Limit Texas Hold'em, HORSE, Pot Limit Omaha, and more. Further details on the UltimateBet Online Championship series can be found at UltimateBet.com. Players can buy-in to the UBOC 100-Seat Guarantee for $120+10, scheduled for this Saturday at 17:30 ET.
