"Once again, we found ourselves faced with the difficult task of choosing just one from among so very many worthy causes that we could support this year. Given that one in 150 children in the United States are diagnosed with autism, we realized that we all probably know someone in our circle of family and friends who is touched by this developmental disorder," says Rich Maloney, Altico Advisors' CEO. "This act of annual giving is but one small way of supporting the communities we serve."
Autism Speaks was founded to bring a voice to those who may not have one. Autism is the nation's fastest-growing serious developmental disorder and it has reached epidemic proportions. Every 20 minutes, another child is diagnosed.
