Last month, New York-based White & Case gave pink slips to around 90 legal staff members, while San Francisco-based Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe laid off 35 members of its support staff. Another international law firm Brown Rudnick LLP laid off almost 10% of its global workforce, which included 20 lawyers, three paralegals, and 20 members of support staff.
"These are tough times for paralegals, legal secretaries, assistants, and other legal support staff, but there are thousands of jobs if one knows where to locate them.
