Molapo Selepe Writes Book--The Final Straw--Sounds Alarm on False Religiosity

Dr. Molapo Selepe's book, The Final Straw, sounds an alarm--Religion, a scam that ostracized God, has become irrelevant.

Brecon, Wales (PRWEB) December 31, 2008 -- Holy Fire Publishing releases The Final Straw (Hardcover, US$30.00, ISBN# 978-1-60383-132-1). Dr. Molapo Selepe's book challenges the old order of religion that ostracized God, secularized society and made religion irrelevant because God's children neglected knowing God personally.

Molapo Selepe's book, The Final Straw, presents his concern for the consequences religiosity has inflicted in today's world. He writes, "The overwhelming majority of people in the developed world [are] secular and the remaining few are trapped by the demands of religion. God has been ostracized and religion has become irrelevant because God's children have neglected the importance of knowing God in Person."

"If Christ didn't rise from the dead then all in this world would be senseless. Christianity would be without basis. Perhaps we need to rethink the purpose of our existence. Many don't know that the reason they were made is to live for Him. They ask what for? Well, ask Him. He is here, right here. He wants you to know Him better. He will not impose Himself upon you; you were not created by a despot. You are a product of Love. He is God who wants us to catch the vision and the purpose of our lives."--Molapo Selepe, MD

Molapo Selepe offers practical steps to draw believers back to basics. He writes, "I think the time has arrived for a new wardrobe, a fresh look, a relevant feel to our old cherished fundamental beliefs. I am an Adventist to the core, [I am} rather an ardent Christian. But I refuse to be falsely religious." Selepe writes The Final Straw to encourage those of all faiths, Catholic, Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist, as well as the evolutionist, secularist and agnostic. He writes for people of all walks of life, prisoner or banker, and for anyone who "wants to meet Jesus without the clutter of religion [and] without the sophistry of human philosophies!" Selepe writes for other "simple human beings like [himself] who struggle to make sense of life."

Dr. Molapo Selepe, 36, a native of South Africa, is a medical graduate from the University of Cape Town. He has practiced medicine in South Africa and the United Kingdom. In early 2008, Dr. Selepe answered Christ's call to Christian ministry. Through writing and speaking engagements, he shares lessons from personal experience during the era of apartheid and from the emotional scars inflicted in the country he loves. He is a devout Christian who believes that one's daily life should portray the character of Christ. Dr. Selepe, a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, currently serves in the Welsh Mission. He lives in Brecon, Wales, with his wife Mahali Vera Selepe, a Gospel vocalist, and their three young children, Rea, Halle and L'amour.
