New Christian Pastor Leadership Seminars To Help The 1,500 Pastors Who Want To Leave Ministry Every Month
Recent survey confirmed more than 1,500 Christian pastors leave the ministry each month. Reason: they are discouraged, spiritually burned out, grossly underpaid and many have marriages on the brink of failure because being a pastor demands far too much of their time and energy. New one-week coaching, mentoring seminars are designed to encourage Christian pastors, ministers and other spiritual church leaders. Skills such as: mentoring, leadership, planning, administration and church diplomacy will be taught by the professionally trained coaching staff. Contributions will be used to pay all travel and tuition expenses of as many attending pastors as possible.
Ocean Grove, NJ (PRWEB) February 14, 2008 -- Scott Hoffman, CAO of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, Ocean Grove, New Jersey and Compass Point International President, Dr. Garland Pollard announce a new series of week-long professional life coaching seminars for all Christian pastors, ministers and other church related spiritual leaders. The Professional Life Coaching Seminars, a series of fourteen weekly seminars, will begin in Ocean Grove on June 23 and continue until August 25. The purpose of the seminars is to help what is expected to be a diverse group of church pastors and other church leaders to find ways to maximize their potential as church leaders.
A professionally trained coaching staff, led by Dr. Garland Pollard, will focus the teaching on the many ways the attendees can become more effective leaders and administrators and thus realize much greater and more satisfying professional success. Included will be several practical ways for individual leaders to achieve career as well as helpful family focused goals.

When Hoffman was asked: "What does it take to keep church leaders enthused about their careers?" He replied: "Obviously, there is a need in the professional ministry at large for seminars that teach leadership skills, mentoring and the many ways to achieve a more successful and satisfying family life style." He then explained: "Sixty percent of the retired spiritual leaders interviewed, those who had had successful careers, said that much of their success was due to the sage advice and regular coaching they received from their personal mentors." Therefore, " continued Hoffman, " what we are doing here is provide the pastors and other attendees with that same kind of mentoring help and advice, but we are doing it with all the advantages of professional coaching and teaching in a classroom atmosphere." Seminar attendees will be provided with comfortable accommodations, breakfast, Ocean Grove beach badges and seminar workbook materials.
The seminars will be conducted in Ocean Grove, New Jersey, a National Historic Landmark resort that offers attractions such as: the beach and boardwalk, specialty shops, lodging, restaurants, and Victorian architecture.
