Singer/Musician PHEROZE releases debut solo effort, Driftwood

Former Scar Culture Frontman to Perform at NYC's Club, TENELEVEN. Live Performance and CD Release Party for Pheroze's debut solo effort, Driftwood. CD available on iTunes and pheroze.com.

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) February 22, 2008 -- New York-based singer/musician Pheroze showcases his new collection of songs entitled Driftwood with a performance and CD Release Party at the East Village venue, Teneleven, on Friday, March 7th at 9:00pm. The performance will showcase many of the cuts from the new CD and Pheroze's dynamic stage presence and stunning vocal range.

Having hung up his metal roots with Century Media recording artists Scar Culture, Pheroze seamlessly combines the spectrum of rock sounds with eclectic musical leanings into his Indo/Persian heritage. The result is Driftwood, an album born of honest cross-style agility and passionately theatrical ebb and flow.

Never Lie to the Pavement
Pheroze's fiery voice soars through lushly composed songs and lyrics that tear at the core of the soul. From the salsa infused groove of "Never Lie to the Pavement" to the percussive tribal yells of "Killer Whales", through the forlorn swirl of "Venus Cried" to the hopeful awe of arena anthem "Daydreams", Pheroze's music stirs the bare soul and inspires the esoteric mind.

With over ten years under his belt as a professional musician and songwriter, Pheroze has taken the production helm on Driftwood. With the exception of drums, Pheroze played all instruments on the record, including exploring his Indian roots by incorporating the esraj, sarod, and gopichand. Mixing was done under the masterful ear of Nick Cohen (Redman, Ill Nino, Brian McKnight, 40 Below Summer).

Driftwood is available at iTunes.com, CDBaby.com and www.pheroze.com. For more information, promotional requests, or to set up an interview please contact press(at)pheroze.com.
