From Physicians to Portals: Carefx Clients to Offer Insights from the Insides of the Health Enterprise at HIMSS 2008

Leading healthcare organizations offer multiple opportunities to examine real-life examples of successful integration, information exchange and physician satisfaction strategies through utilizing a data aggregation platform.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 24, 2008 -- At the 2008 Annual Conference & Exhibition of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society'(HIMSS), Carefx Corporation will join forces with several of its clients to present a series of sessions examining real-life opportunities, challenges and successes in healthcare organization integration, information exchange and physician empowerment. The five sessions over three days will provide many opportunities to examine how leading healthcare enterprises, regional health information organizations (RHIOs) and health information exchanges (HIEs) use Carefx's Fusion data aggregation platform to manage how information is created, exchanged and leveraged to improve physician satisfaction. HIMSS will be held February 24-28 at the Orange County Convention Center Orlando, Fla.

Fusion is an interoperability platform that aggregates data from disparate sources into a unified, context-sensitive, clinically relevant, browser-based view. By providing access to key patient data quickly, simply, wherever it is needed, in a format that makes sense for what a clinician is doing, Fusion supports safer, more informed clinical decisions at the point of care. In addition, Fusion leverages existing clinical systems, giving healthcare organizations a cost-effective integration solution and a way to overcome the privacy issues involved in building RHIOs, also known as regional health information organizations, and HIEs.

Since 2002, Carefx has established itself as the market leaders in helping hospitals create system interoperability from system disparity - enabling systems to operate the way clinicians think and work. Our number one priority has been, and will continue to be simplifying access to patient information; the driving force behind physician alignment
"Since 2002, Carefx has established itself as the market leaders in helping hospitals create system interoperability from system disparity - enabling systems to operate the way clinicians think and work. Our number one priority has been, and will continue to be simplifying access to patient information; the driving force behind physician alignment," said Andrew Hurd, president and CEO of Carefx. "As the nation's premier healthcare technology conference, HIMSS is an important forum for healthcare leaders and informatics authorities to exchange ideas and share their experiences. We look forward to being a significant contributor to the collective knowledge by working with our clients to share ideas and examples of how Fusion can help organizations achieve success in clinical, financial and community-wide data exchange."
