Toronto Accounting Firm Opens Up in the United States

Hendricks & Associates, a Toronto-based accounting firm, has opened a second location in upstate New York to target small business clientele in the United States.

Amherst, NY (PRWEB) March 2, 2008 -- Hendricks & Associates, an accounting firm based in Toronto, is now serving small business clientele in the United States. Marlies Y Hendricks is expanding her business with an office in Amherst, New York, where two accountants are currently employed. The new office was also recently featured in the Buffalo Business Journal.

Hendricks has been doing business in Canada since 1990, gaining experience with small businesses that earn revenues between $250,000 and $10 million, specializing in cross border income taxes. The upstate New York office, Marlies Y. Hendricks & Associates LLC, was established to make use of her education in the United States Market while remaining close to her Toronto flagship office. Hendricks told the Buffalo Business Journal that it was necessary to have a physical presence in the United States, so she even moved her family from Canada.

Hendricks has experience as a corporate accountant, but she decided to concentrate on small businesses after opening up her own firm in 1990. The Canadian office, Hendricks & Associates, CPA, CGAs, has five employees doing public accounting. She hopes to add more employees to the New York office as the business grows.
