JudasBlue First to Win $12.5k Main Event Package; $180k Freeroll Series from PokerListings.com and Full Tilt Warming Up

PokerListings.com and Full Tilt Poker's $180k 2008 World Series of Poker* series crowned its first winner last week, as player JudasBlue outlasted just 101 other runners for a $12,500 prize package including the $10k Main Event buy-in plus expenses. The series picks up speed in March with two more $15k freerolls - one on March 9 and one on March 23 - and continues right until June 22, with eleven more all-inclusive packages to be won.

Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles (PRWEB) March 4, 2008 -- PokerListings.com (http://www.pokerlistings.com/full-tilt-poker) and Full Tilt Poker's (http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/download-pokerlistings.php) $180k 2008 WSOP* series crowned its first winner last week, as player JudasBlue outlasted just 101 other runners for a $12,500 prize package including the $10k Main Event buy-in plus expenses.

The series picks up speed in March with two more $15k freerolls - one on March 9 and one on March 23 - and continues right until June 22, with eleven more all-inclusive packages to be won.

This is my biggest poker win ever, and I look forward to going to the Main Event, courtesy of FTP and PokerListings.com!
Said JudasBlue, a 42-year-old journalist from Northern California, about his win:

"I was honestly quite surprised by how small the field was for this tournament. Only 101 people for a $12.5k prize on a freeroll seemed pretty insane to me. Not that I am complaining at all. It was great.

By the time June 22 rolls around, 11 more PokerListings players (signed up at Full Tilt through a PokerListings.com link) will be set to join him. Exclusive freerolls run twice a month in March and April, three times in May and four times in June, with the winner of each (plus two extra players from the last two events) taking one of the most sought-after prizes in poker - a seat in the 2008 WSOP* Main Event.

Just 300 Full Tilt Poker points are needed for entry to each of the freerolls, with two-week qualifying periods before each respective event.

"The World Series," says Hannah Mayen, media relations director at PokerListings.com, "is, and likely always will be, the pinnacle of the poker year.

"It's every player's dream to sit at the felt in the most storied tournament in poker history, and with $180,000 in prize packages this year at Full Tilt alone, we're fulfilling that dream for more players than ever."

If, however, the World Series Main Event doesn't fit into a player's agenda for 2008, Full Tilt and PokerListings.com also have two other premium bonus deals to choose from: $12,000 WPT "Winner's Choice" freerolls and weekly $3,000 cash freerolls.

Winner's Choice freerolls run monthly, with the next scheduled for Mar. 16. All PokerListings players who earn 300 Full Tilt Poker points between Feb. 13 and March 12 are eligible; winner pockets buy-in plus expenses to the World Poker Tour or European Poker Tour event of their choice.

Weekly cash freerolls run every Saturday at 1 p.m. (EST), with just 150 Full Tilt points the week prior (Thurs.-Wed. each week) to qualify. All PokerListings players, new or existing, are eligible.
