CODA Recruits Dedicated Sales and Marketing Team for On-Demand Software

Dedicated team to market CODA 2go -- Evolution of go to market strategy for the on-demand marketplace -- Product launch planned for Dreamforce Europe.

Harrogate, North Yorkshire (PRWEB) March 16, 2008 -- CODA, the finance software specialist, today announced it is recruiting a dedicated sales and marketing team to support the new Software as a Service offering.

CODA 2go, CODA's new international accounting system, will provide companies of all sizes with financials on demand. The new recruits will focus on sales and marketing solely for CODA 2go and CODA's on-demand market strategy. They will join a dedicated team within CODA focusing on the on-demand market. The extreme flexibility of the design of CODA 2go will enable it to address the accounting system needs of a huge range of customers - from those with just tens of employees to those with tens of thousands.

"The level of feedback and demand we are already seeing is highly encouraging as we start to build our 'go to market' team," said David Turner, Group Marketing Director at CODA. "CODA 2go will further extend our wide choice of supported technology platforms and allow us to address an even broader range of organisations. We are growing a business around a new product and delivery method which is very exciting for us, but means we need to approach sales and marketing in a different way. We believe it is important to evolve and build more flexibility into our go to market strategy as the choice of software delivery methods expands. We can see huge potential for this type of software delivery in the future."

The first CODA 2go product will be launched at salesforce.com's Dreamforce Europe user conference in London in May, just seven months after the partnership was formally announced. The first release, built on Force.com, salesforce.com's Platform-as-a-Service, will address the end-to-end sales invoicing process. It enables users to create an invoice from within the CRM software at the click of a button and post the transaction to their sales ledger, simplifying the sales process. Users will be able to turn sales orders in their Salesforce CRM applications into cash more efficiently, manage customer accounts better and reduce working capital requirements.

Such is the interest in CODA 2go that CODA recently launched a blog (http://blog.coda.com/) which provides updates on the development of CODA 2go to keep finance and IT professionals and salesforce.com customers abreast of key developments in the on-demand marketplace. The level of interest and interaction this has generated is helping drive development efforts and it includes a comment posted by Marc Benioff, CEO and founder of salesforce.com who says: "It's terrific to see the innovation and breakthrough technology coming from CODA on the force.com platform."
