MPAS 2nd Annual General Meeting

Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore held its second AGM on 18 March 2008 to elect its Executive Committee for 2008/09.

Singapore (PRWEB) March 22, 2008 --The Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore held its second Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 18 March 2008 at NUSS Suntec City Guild House. The 2nd AGM saw the election of the 12-member 2008/09 Executive Committee (EXCO) and committee members, as well as the passing of the first EXCO of the Annual Report, the Financial Report and the amended Constitution.

A total of 24 members attended the AGM. SK Ho of Appetite Media and Andrew Smart of Fairfax Business Media were re-elected President and Vice-President respectively, while the posts of Honorary Treasurer went to Desmond Chander of Retail Asia Publishing and Honorary Secretary went to Greg Duncan of Asia City Publishing. Six other committee members by publishing companies were ACP Magazines, EDIPRESSE, Events Creation (Millionaire Asia), MediaCorp Publishing, Roof & Façade and SPH Magazines. Also elected Honorary Auditors were Stuart Hoggard of PackWebAsia and Alex Knight of Dachex Media. These 12 EXCO and committee members will serve one year from 1st April 2008 till the next AGM in March 2009.

James See of Aboutwe Publishing is the Executive Director since 1st January 2008 to oversee the Secretariat.
