Vision Loss Resources launches state-of-the-art website to provide easy access of information for the blind and vision impaired.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) March 25, 2008 -- Vision Loss Resources today announced the launch of their new Website (www.visionlossresources.org) that features a text-only version with JAWS "talking" software compatibility. The new site utilizes the latest technology available to offer full customization to people with blindness and vision loss, and deliver easy access to valuable information.

New Executive Director, Kate Grathwol, Ph.D. at Vision Loss Resources describes this state-of-the-art Website as, "the most effective, up-to-date way to access information about vision loss services, whether you are visually impaired or sighted ..."

The text-only version removes the imagery and works with JAWS software to turn print into speech. These new features make our Website easy to use and extremely valuable to the vision impaired, enabling them to become even more independent
"The text-only version removes the imagery and works with JAWS software to turn print into speech. These new features make our Website easy to use and extremely valuable to the vision impaired, enabling them to become even more independent," stated Ms. Grathwol.

Through this site, information can be accessed about topics such as low vision assessment, rehabilitation, programs for seniors and children, deaf-blind services, recreation, everyday living skills and community center activities.

Vision Loss Resources (formerly known as the Minneapolis/Saint Paul Society for the Blind) is an independent nonprofit agency whose mission is to assist people who are blind or visually impaired to achieve their full potential and to enrich the lives of all persons affected by blindness or vision loss.
