The Learning Pod has Landed - WorldClassTutor.com Releases the Super Conduit for Teaching and Learning - Makes Immediate Call for All Teachers, Parents and Students to Respond

WorldClassTutor.ning.com has launched a perfect way for students, teachers and tutors to meet and interact. This site offers tons of free information on Math, Science, English and other subjects. Membership is free.

Newport News, Virginia (PRWEB) March 22, 2008 -- The Learning Pod has landed. WorldClasstutor proudly introduces the network for students, tutors and teachers. "We found there were few places where educators and students could interact. It was our goal to make a site that would be valuable to all. Most importantly we wanted the site to be free," said WorldClassTutor founder Jim Crawford.

The site is filling quickly with new materials, members and some very cool links. Cynthia Crawford, the President of WorldClassTutor.com stated, "It's incredible the collective knowledge that is out there for free. As the mother of four sons we have had our share of learning challenges, we knew we could help others."

I visited the site and found videos, forums and individual pages. It is like a MySpace for educators. Content is changing quickly and the founder tells me that the members will come from all 50 states and all over the world. So there is a definite international feel.

Tutors or prospective tutors are encouraged to join the site and connect with a group or forum. It is expected that over 1000 students will use the service this school year. The great thing for tutors is they can do this with their existing local clients. They choose their availability and are not held to a specific schedule. They can work 2 hours or 200 hours per month. Once tutors create their availability in the schedule the program will send the Tutor an email when a student schedules an appointment. It is very smooth.

Teachers can find some help from a large tutor pool. With the No Child Left Behind Act teachers can refer struggling students to the web for some free help. Parents will also find the site helpful with the large supply of free information.

"Our children are learning differently than ever before. The huge amount of information available may be overwhelming, that's why we believe a central location is helpful," Jim Crawford. More information is available on the website. www.worldclasstutor.ning.com.
