After 50 Years, Front Range Dog Track Has Run Its Last Race

Rocky Mountain Estate Brokers Inc. hired to conduct public auction of everything at Cloverleaf Kennel Club Race Track in Loveland, CO prior to demolition.

Loveland, CO (PRWEB) March 28, 2008 -- After more than fifty years as a Northern Colorado landmark, Cloverleaf Kennel Club has run its last race. The real estate will be sold and developed. Everything from sand used in the track right down to the kitchen sinks will be on the Auction Block. The owners hired Rocky Mountain Estates Brokers Inc. to sell everything it can at a Public Auction scheduled for Saturday April 5, 2008 starting at 10:10 AM.

This will not be your typical auction since the facilities will be razed. RMEB will sell everything it deems to be salable and removable. Items in the auction include tractors, restaurant equipment, furniture, tools and more. RMEB will also sell demolition items including some of the buildings to be moved, pipe, wire and even the specialized sand that makes up the surface of the track.

Buyers like our internet bidding feature as they do not have to attend the live auction if they are only interested in a few items. Sellers like it as well as it creates a much larger pool of available buyers.
Many people remember hearing the words, "Here comes Whizmo" right before each starting bell. Few people knew that a person, located high above the grandstands, using an ominous looking device, controlled this famed mechanical rabbit. The vintage rabbit control sells at the auction. Another highlight of the auction is the sale of over 200 Mid-Century Modern molded fiberglass shell chairs. When new, these chairs were utilitarian. They now are appreciated for their design. They too, will be on the auction block.

Many people will attend the auction preview on Friday afternoon to get a last look at some pieces of Front Range history. The auction preview allows potential buyers plenty of time to inspect the items for sale before the actual live auction on Saturday morning. The live auction kicks off at 10:10 AM on Saturday April 5, 2008. Even if you cannot attend the auction in person, you can still bid. RMEB will post many of the auction items on its website www.whitleyauction.com. Interested people may register to bid online and leave bids before the auction or even bid live from their computer on many of the items during the live auction.

"The auction business has undergone a dramatic transformation in the last ten years," said David P. Whitley CAI CES lead auctioneer for RMEB. "RMEB is the leader in the Rocky Mountain Region in using technology to allow anyone in the world to bid at our live auctions. Since we have offered internet pre and live bidding, we have sold merchandise to people from all 50 states and several foreign countries." Whitley added, "Buyers like our internet bidding feature as they do not have to attend the live auction if they are only interested in a few items. Sellers like it as well as it creates a much larger pool of available buyers."
