The site works by the seller and buyer registering; the seller then uploads their art with a price, contact email and description as well as an image. The buyer can then contact them through a contact box directly on through the site. This is then sent by email to the seller along with the potential buyers email details.
Another neat feature is that users can comment on other artists work, OilPaintingsOnline.com is really aimed at being a user generated art site which will have a niche but active audience.
The site will be marketed through Google as well as they other major engines, it will also feature on specialist directory and art resource sites to encourage an active user base.
The site will be open to anyone -- regardless of where in the world they live.
