HIGH SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL - EPISODE 7: 'Cate, Beth and Lauren B.'

Premieres Monday, April 21 at 10pm I 9c

"I was so mad. It felt like release for me, I used the razor blade."
-Cate, 9th Grade

I'm more self-confident, and I know I can push myself without breaking, because I've reached the breaking point and I know I can overcome from it. Today I don't have any problems with cutting or not eating."
-Cate, 12th Grade

"We were just kind of more like friends living together. I basically told everybody. They're like, 'How's it like going to school and living with like your stepsister? 'I'm like, 'She's just more my friend.'"
-Beth, 9th Grade

"I'm pretty sure that will be the last time I will see (Cate) for a very long time unless something happens or I just run into her by chance."
-Beth, 12th Grade

"Kansas is not anybody's headquarters for changing the world."
-Lauren, 9th Grade

"It's pretty hard being a liberal in Kansas, just because you're so alone in the community."
-Lauren, 12th Grade

Cate, a competitive athlete, tries to adjust to her father's remarriage. Beth is her stepsister and they get along great. The girls go off to high school more as friends than stepsisters. But family drama breaks out in the girls' household and before they know it, their parents head for an ugly divorce. By her senior year Cate has experienced depression, anorexia and even cutting. Beth and Cate's relationship also changes as the two drift and by senior year Beth is pretty sure she won't see Cate again.

In contrast to Cate and Beth, Lauren has a very stable family and focuses on academics and going to an out-of-state college. Politics becomes her passion in high school. Will she get accepted out-of-state or will she be stuck in Kansas?
