CareerTV Show Features Most Diverse Employers

CareerTV – the nation’s leading career video website, hit it big with its April 1st launch of the CareerTV Show. The first episode features employers that students have voted as the most diverse in the nation.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 10, 2008 -- The "CareerTV Top Diversity Employers" episode hit air with features of Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, the US Department of State, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The show is broadcasting now and available on over 50 college campuses nationwide on cable, video on demand, and closed circuit TV. Full shows and segments are also available online at CareerTV.com.

Executive Producer, Sean O’Grady, explains, “Every company is going to claim that it embraces diversity, but with this show, we took a look under the hood of major employers to find out what they are really doing to create diverse environments.”

We have received a lot of positive feedback around this segment and we hope to incorporate more audience generated segments in future shows
The show features advice from Frank K. Ross, the first African American to be named Partner at a major accounting firm, and from actor Tom Hanks. The episode also features career experts answering user generated questions. Drexel University Career Services Director, Peter Franks, handled a volley of questions from students around the nation in the popular "Mail Call", segment. "We have received a lot of positive feedback around this segment and we hope to incorporate more audience generated segments in future shows," adds Sean O’Grady.

The next episode of The CareerTV Show will focus on "Top Socially Responsible Employers". The show is scheduled to hit air April 30.

The CareerTV television show is an innovative, half-hour, magazine style program that dissects the work world from the perspectives of employees and company recruiters – giving the audience a sense of "what it’s like", and "what it takes", to work for some of the world’s top employers. The goal is to educate and assist CareerTV’s target audience, 18-29 year olds, in their job search.

Segments like Resume Rubric, Ask the Expert, and Dress for Success, provide the audience with practical tips and instruction while Company Profiles, and Recruiter Q&A’s, provide insight and advice from seasoned industry professionals and leaders. Future show topics include: Greenest Companies in America, Best Employers for Women, and Top Internship Programs.
