The tournament is a free roll online format that pits participants against each other each week. The top three finishers each week move on to the finals in October of 2008. Besides bragging rights, participants are playing for $5,000 AUD and a seat on the World Series of Poker as part of team 888poker.com.
The Poker Championship is open to any College or University student within Australia and New Zealand. The tournament launches on April 20, 2008.
