Elissa Bercovitz graduated in 1996 from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Long Island, New York. In her second year of law school, Ms. Bercovitz participated in the Mental Health Disability Law Clinic. Her experience with this clinic helped her to realize her potential as an advocate; her interpersonal skills should be used to help people who had trouble navigating the complex legal system. Ms. Bercovitz has also volunteered her time as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Denver CASA, an organization that strives to protect children and be a voice for then within the justice system. She is very sensitive to the impact litigation can have on families, especially the children. Ms. Bercovitz's background enhances her ability to relate to her clients and makes her uniquely qualified in the field of family law.
